I found it difficult to find clarity when I was deep in my transition process. I have some OCD tendencies so I like things to be structured and organised, Yet I have notes, journal entries, blog drafts and channelled messages in disarray. I couldn’t find a structure to document what was happening. Change can be messy. My jumbled notes certainly reflect that – and I could go into panic or stuck mode if I allowed this messiness to consume me. I’m starting to see patterns but the nice neat structure of how I’d like to share my writing isn’t there yet. So in the interests of keeping the energy moving, I’ve set the intention that if I find something in old notes that feels relevant or helpful and that feels good to share now, then I need to trust that this is the right time to share it. And to do that.
So here we go. The next few blog posts may have a theme or may be completely random. I guess we see what wants to be shared and trust in that.
I stumbled upon some channelled notes which I’d titled ‘Life Changes‘. (I don’t have a name for this voice that I’ve channelled, I like to think of it as a Collective energy of wise Beings. This voice tends to come through when I ask for a higher perspective).
Life Changes – channelled 27/7/15
Life changes are important moments in people’s lives where there is a turning point, a moment in time when things change, a course of action is altered. With life changes comes a choice. You have outgrown who you are and need to shed skin in order for the new you to emerge. Imagine being stuck in a skin that you’re bulging to get out of. You could peal the skin off, that is your choice. Or wait until it gets to bursting point and it drastically falls off or something else comes along and whips off the skin. Either way, it comes off. You cannot remain in the same state. Pealing the skin off layer by layer is a gentler method, looking at what needs to be removed. A short sharp burst is more dramatic.
To put this into context we’ll give you an example of a job. You’ve outgrown the job, you notice a discontent, not the usual lethargy of going to work, there’s a deep down feeling that things aren’t right. That there’s something else you could be doing. Your chest hurts when you go into work, or you get headaches. You just cant seem to muster up the energy to do the things that you previously enjoyed doing. It drains you and you find yourself getting sick often. You are outgrowing your skin. This is where you have the choice. You know something isn’t right. Do you speak to your boss to see if something can be changed? Do you start putting your resume together? Do you look for new opportunities? This is where you start to peel off some of the layers, gradually. Whatever isn’t working, you shed. Whatever is holding you down, you let go of. You take an active part in removing the old so that whatever is weighing you down is removed and new opportunities can reach you.
On the other hand, you notice all the discontent in your body and work situation and you do nothing about it. Things continue to build up, things continue to weigh you down. You become more and more frustrated yet aren’t doing something about it. You’ve made the choice to ignore the signs. There is a plan in place for you, the Universe can see your potential and so as you continue to allow the discontent to build up and your proverbial skin starts to bulge, you reach a breaking point where you do something drastic, for example get really sick and need to take extended leave, resign or the Universe steps in for you and you get made redundant or even sacked.
Can you see? Can you see that either way there is a plan for you? That there’s a destination but different routes to get to the destination? An empowering route where you follow the signs. Or a more hazardous route where the signs are there but you choose to ignore and end up having a troublesome journey.
Can you see that you have free will? If something doesn’t feel right, you have the opportunity to do something about it and are supported in those decisions. That you can take an active part, where your self-respect grows because you are actively listening and taking action. This is an important point to note because there is a difference between knowing that something isn’t quite right, that you could be doing something, and yet don’t do anything about it. You may hear but don’t actually listen. You may see but choose not to do anything with the insight. You may feel off but decide you’re more comfortable in that feeling than trying something new.
You need to take action. However small, if something is off, if you know you could be doing something. Take action. Take guided action. Follow the signs.
Life changes are exactly that, life altering. You have outgrown an old you and while you may not know what the new you looks or feels like, you need to trust that whatever is in your higher good will work out for you in your best interests. Don’t cling onto the old skin, start shedding. So the new you can emerge.
As I write here today, I see an image in my mind’s eye of a snake, shedding its skin. So if you’re seeing references of snakes (hopefully not live snakes!), this message may be particularly relevant to you.
I find the message above comforting. To know there is a plan for us, and we’ll get there – no matter what road we take. We just need to take action, make a move, and follow the signs.
